Unable to use Leave for Back-to-Back ShiftsPosted on October 27, 2017. 0 Comments
I am not able to use Leave to track staff taking off time. This is a relatively new development in ShiftPlanning. I used to be able to use the Leave feature in the way that worked best for our company but can no longer do so. Now I have to use a different external calendar to track time off.
Staff members typically work multiple shifts every day. When there is an absence or when someone takes time off, they may or may not take off an entire day. Sometimes is it one shift, sometimes two shifts, etc.
Due to the nature of our business, the majority of our shifts are back to back. It's important for tracking purposes to be able to tell if staff took off one shift, two shifts, or all their shifts for any particular day. I am not able to do this in Leave. According to Support, there must be a 15-minute increment between shifts when entering into Leave. This is not practical. If I can schedule back-to-back shifts in the schedule, I should also be able to enter back-to-back Leaves.
